Music Systems Engineering
Building desktop music software, realtime MIDI infrastructure, and live performance systems engineered for the realities of professional performance and production.
PulseMIDI
PulseMIDI is a native macOS application for MIDI signal monitoring, device enumeration, and virtual port routing. Built with Swift and SwiftUI for a native macOS experience, using CoreMIDI for direct MIDI framework access. Targets Apple Silicon and Intel Macs on macOS 12+. Distributed as a standalone application with AudioUnit v3 and CLAP plugin support.
PulseMIDI — Live Signal
Tools & Ecosystem
CoreMIDI-based event capture, virtual port creation, MIDI device enumeration, and low-latency message routing. PulseMIDI implements this layer in Swift with direct CoreMIDI framework access.
macOS native application development in Swift and SwiftUI targeting Apple Silicon and Intel. Standalone and plugin distribution — AudioUnit v3 and CLAP — with universal binary packaging.
Deep production experience across Ableton Live, MainStage, and Studio One — routing chains, automation, plugin parameter mapping, and the operational differences between live and studio session contexts.
Built and operated keyboard rigs for church and live performance teams — patch switching, setlist management, multi-channel MIDI routing, and zero-downtime operation under live stage conditions.
Extensive hands-on experience with Omnisphere synthesis, Kontakt sample instrument libraries, and Arturia instrument platforms — applied across worship, live performance, and studio production.
Building tools targeting real musician workflows — MIDI controller mapping, signal inspection, device routing, and performance-critical reliability. Grounded in supporting professional musicians and live performance teams.
Engineering Philosophy
Music systems operate under the same reliability requirements as production infrastructure — except the user is on stage. Low-latency, crash-resistant, and deterministic under live conditions.
